Echo Park – Nice Yet Surprisingly Affordable
Echo Park is among the most beautiful parts of the city of Los Angeles. It is also upon one of the geographic extremes of the city. We find it along with a lake and has a more Suburban feel than many other parts of the city. This leads to many different factors for people choosing whether or not to live there or simply to visit.
A Possible Place to Move or Visit
While Echo Park only has about 40,000 people, it is also home to some of the nicest parts of the City of Angels. This includes a number of major overlooks including Elysian Heights. It is consistently ranked as one of the nicest parts of the city to live and has an ample opportunity for education in the city.
It is also an up-and-coming district for young people. There is a substantial influx of young people coming to the area that is changing the demographics of the area.
Echo Park is one of the few parts of the city where the overall percentage of Latinos in a neighborhood is declining relative to the rest of the city. We can see major changes to the area ahead especially with the number of young professionals moving to the area and settling down. Expect to hear a lot more about the area in the years to come.
The Huffington Post even asked if it is the overall best neighborhood in the city.
